A little something I did for the drawing challenge at our world of warcraft guild's forum. I might come back at revisit this at some point, but as the deadline is tomorrow at 12 (and I won't be up, trust me) it's going to have to do as it is. Naturally, I spend ages polishing little details of the face etc, which you can't see on the full version. There's going to be some detail shots in my scraps. Photoshop CS from start to finish.
What things are the ones that make it seem unfinished to you? I know there are things I would have liked to work on more, but I think generally I got pretty much the feel I was going for.
Well, nothing is as sharp and rendered as the face is (except for the skull thing that turned out pretty awesome). So it looks like you spent most of the time on the face and was not so focused on the rest, making it seem unbalanced. Also everything is basically the same texture. You need to differentiate more between the clothes and the skin. If the clothes had folds that might help. Is that armor she has on her shoulders? If so, should it be more metalic? otherwise it looks like cloth.
but honestly for the most part its pretty nice.

Sorry it took a while to get back to you, I'm on holiday . I agree on the clothes part, folds *somehow* slipped my mind when enlivening the reference material available - which incidentally includes no folds - and probably partly because I'm no good with folds *cough*. I think I'm going to get back to it and do them proper when I get back. I tried to keep everything else a bit unfocused compared to the face to keep it as the focal point, but I might have gone a little too sloppy. And about the texture of the shoulder armor, I have no clue what material it is, and I admit I rushed it, I should have thought it more through. Not metal however, at least not the shiny kind. To be honest I find the whole shoulder pieces a bit ridicilous, but since I tried to stay true mostly to the game way of showing the character to keep her indentifiable I wanted to add it anyway. Thanks for your feedback, I appreciate it .
When is enough enough... What difference does it make when popular artist vent vent vent and support a site that tolerates deviant behaviour. HA! no wonder its all in a name.

Aside from that... gorgeous! I love how you've used soft colors and brush strokes.
